Fire protection without sacrificing design

Novoferm supplied about 150 NovoFire® smokeproof and fire-resistant doors in glass frames, which perfectly match the architectural surroundings in function and appearance, for the spacious indoor glass surfaces which lend substantial transparency and openness to the building.
Superb functionality for sophisticated projects
The aluminium or steel NovoFire ® glass frames provide transparent smoke and fire protection with a wide range of functions: Smokeproof in accordance with DIN 18095, fire resistance classes T30/F30 or T90/F90 in accordance with DIN 4102 (tested in accordance with DIN EN 1634) and burglar resistance in accordance with DIN EN V 1627 in classes WK1 or WK2 (WK3 also optionally available) offer huge scope for application in demanding projects. The single or double leaf smokeproof/fire-resistant doors can be combined with fixed elements with any transom spacing up to 4.0 m (F90) or 5,0 m (F30) in height. Upper door closer, electric opener or anti-panic functions in accordance with DIN EN 179 or DIN EN 1125 can be integrated.
Compact security with multiple benefits
The NovoFire® frame and door profiles only require one fireproof core, which is anchored to the centre of the profile without the need for additional clamps. This compact design enables a uniform visible width of just 150 mm. At the same time, the outer profile chambers remain free and can be used for through-wiring or for attaching add-on parts, for example. The rebate on the T30 and T90 doors is clad on three sides with a continuous fireproof strip coated in black PVC. This makes it easy to clean while at the same time ensuring that the doors always look good, even when open.
Extremely stable for a long service life
The wall thickness of 4 mm and reinforcements around the hinges and add-on parts on the inside make NovoFire® door elements extremely capable of withstanding mechanical influences. At the same time, the doors only require two hinges, thanks to the reinforcements. This, in turn, reduces the time and effort needed to adjust and maintain the hinges and further enhances the smooth running properties of the door leaves. Added to which, the dry glazing with EPDM seals ensures a lasting transition between the profile and the glazing which is, moreover, easy to care for.
