Technical description

Rolltorpanzer
consisting of slats with hinge-like joints (profile design, see next double page), arranged for optimal water drainage. The rolling shutter curtain is fastened with mounts to the tube roll, its lower edge is reinforced with an edge profile that is dimensioned to match requirements, with permanently flexible hose seal to compensate uneven floors.
  
TH80 and TH100 slats each with end pieces at the sides to prevent them from shifting against each other, V80 slats, protected against shifting in the hinge area.

Rolling grille curtain
Flat metal with honeycomb pattern. The bars are connected by strong articulating links. The lower edge of the rolling grille is reinforced with a steel edge bracket that is dimensioned to suit the width of the door.

Guide tracks:
made of sendzimir galvanized steel (see next but one double page) for weld-on fitting or installation with steel bracket without welding, normally with low-wearing plastic strips for quiet door movement.

Tube roll:
made of steel, primed, dimensioned according to permissible bending of 1/500 of its length, with a minimum diameter of 168 mm for better curtain wrapping.

Ball joint bearing:
large, for mounting the tube roll, mounted on brackets.

Bracket fastening:
with dowels, or screw or weld-on fitting. In the case of weld-on fitting, it is fastened to the on-site substructure and/or anchor plates that must be installed beforehand in accordance with our offset plans.

Shaft-mounted drive (standard):
Maintenance-free, completely oil tight-encapsulated safety worm gear – mounted directly onto the steel shaft of the tubular axle, which considerably lessens the installation and maintenance workloads compared with other solutions. Integrated, maintenance-free, self-monitoring safety catch that operates in any position, together with an encapsulated limit switch unit that is flange mounted directly on the gear and permits the precise setting of final and safety limit switches. Emergency crank handle (approx. 300 mm long) or quick-acting hand chain for manual operation in the event of a power outage. All electrical connections plug onto the operator. Operating voltage 400 V three-phase current. The operator is TÜV and VDE tested.

Chain wheel drive with safety catch (special dimensions):
Maintenance-free, completely oil tight-encapsulated safety worm gear with attached limit switch unit including emergency crank handle or quick-acting hand chain – as with the shaft-mounted drive albeit with the requisite chain wheels made of steel and the matching roller chain for transferring the power from the operator to the tube roll. This drive requires the TÜV tested safety catch which is capable of preventing the door from falling even if the supports fail.

Control mechanism (standard):
Modular upgradeable door control mechanism with 24 V control voltage, TÜV and VDE tested, the engine and control lines to the operator are pre-connected, as is the mains cable with CE plug connection, including foil keypad with "OPEN-HOLD-CLOSE" function for operating the door without the need to connect an external switch. The basic version features a deadman switch which, for safety reasons, only allows a door to move as long as the operating button is being pressed. The control mechanism can be upgraded with the addition of further modules to function automatically. The operating and safety equipment usually found in the vicinity of a rolling shutter can, of course also be connected, such as key switches, pull switches, remote control, edge switches, opto sensors, etc.

Assembly / Electrical installation:
Our installation instructions are aligned to existing DIN regulations. Accordingly, the positioning and connection of all electrical parts in line with our circuit diagrams, and the connection to the mains and wiring of the parts to each other with the necessary connections are all works that must be performed by the property owner. Equally, the back-up fuse and lockable master switch must be provided on-site.
