Approval:
All versions been officially tested in accordance with DIN 4102 and have been awarded general building code approval by means of certification issued by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik, Berlin.
Installation:
The wall in which the fire-protection seal is to be installed and its fastening must comply with the approval requirements.
Note: Inspection openings must be provided if sliding doors are clad on-site in the storage area.

Header versions:

  • Standard version for normal header requires a header height of at least 220 mm
  • Special versions for ceiling installation with low headers require at least 125 mm header height
  • The header panel must be 115 mm high for butt ceiling installation
Please consult our planning notes.

Door leaf: made of galvanized, mechanically straightened metal sheets, 1 mm thick, with fire protection insulation. Door leaf compiled of individual elements of leaf height, the perfectly even surface of the elements is achieved by bonding the sheet metal sheath with the fire protection insulation (supplied as individual panels).

Seal: surrounding on three sides, with labyrinth profiles.

Hardware: Upper tube drive with double paired rollers for smooth movement of the door, dimensioned to suit the weight of the door leaf, with continuous mounting bracket, together with hydraulic end damper, closing weight in galvanized encasement, floor guide, handle and shell handle.
Door ingoing brake (radial damper) to regulate the closing speed, infinitely adjustable between 0.08 and 0.2 m/sec.

Approved variants / Special features (at additional cost)

Hold-open system – Hold-open and activation mechanism: for doors that mostly need to remain open for operational reasons, consisting of: Fire alarms (number compliant with registration), hold-open magnet, power unit and release button (24 V direct current operation, 0.5 A). In the event of a fire, the door closes automatically or when the release button is activated.

Note:
The hold-open system must be inspected following installation and at regular intervals by experts commissioned by the operator and at the operator's expense (see registration certificate for the hold-open system).

T30 / T90 pass door (as per registration), also smokeproof pass door with special sealing profiles, integrated between two elements in the door leaf, standard without lower sill, door size max. 1000 x 2000 mm CP.
A pass door may only be built into doors that are at least 1500 mm wide and 2100 mm high (CP in each case). Hardware: 2 x three-part hinges with ball bearings, 1 door closer DIN EN 1154, 1 mortice lock DIN 18250 with draw-back latch for profile cylinder, black folding handle with short plates.

Hook and catch lock:
to protect the closed door, with spring-mounted catch, key activated, for profile cylinders.

Butt-edged side inlet panel:
for single leaf doors: no rebate on the door inlet side, counterweight deflected.

Butt ceiling installation: with header panel (115 mm high).

Activation aid:
especially for larger doors with leaves weighing more than 1000 kg that require considerable effort to open manually. The following is possible in combination with the hold-open system:

Electromechanical drive for opening the door with surface mounted "Open" push button in deadman switch position; the door is closed by pressing the release button on the hold-open system. In the event of a fire, the drive is disabled and the door is automatically closed by the closing weight.

Note: Doors with electromechanical operation must be subjected to the corresponding inspections by experts commissioned by the operator and at the operator's expense (see guidelines for power-driven doors).

Fireproof glazing
(dimensions as per registration):

  • in one or more panel fields: Standard pane size 270 x 630 mm, special pane sizes up to 450 x 1100 mm (longer lead times), requisite frieze width per panel field 190 mm on three sides, pedestal height 1150 mm.
  • in pass doors (without floor sill): T30/T90 standard pane size 460 x 610 mm, special T30 pane sizes (longer lead times), requisite frieze width 125 mm on 4 sides.
