NovoSecur®-Security door: excellent optical characteristics with high functionality
Rees, November 2008. The door, gate and frame manufacturer Novoferm has enlarged its product portfolio for steel security doors. Under the name “NovoSecur®“ Novoferm now offers multipurpose doors with high quality surfaces and multiple glazing options, fitting into any individually designed high end applications without loosing any of its functionality. Proven against burglary according to DIN V EN V 1627 up to resistancy class WK 3, noise protection up to 42 dB with a width of only 40 mm, as well as smoke and fire resistance according to DIN 18095 as well as DIN 4102, allow many ways of use in many industries.
Doors separate rooms. Security doors gurard them. With two or four security bolts on the hinge side, optional with main look or multiple locking system (swing bolt type), partially three dimensional spezial hinges, as well as drill prove profile cylinder, the NovoSecur®-security door offers burglary resistance according to DIN V EN V 1627 up to a tested resistancy class of WK 3. Furthermore some NovoSecur®-models comply with specifications according to somke resistance DIN 18095 as well as fire resistance DIN 4102 for T30.
Dry Wall Construction: WK 2 for installation into sandwich panel walls
It’s true advantages though, NovoSecur®-doors show with dry wall applications, where numerous other doors fail due to certification regulations. If for example on office levels are divided by sandwich panel walls, the NovoSecur®-models E-S4, E-S6 and E-S8 with the appropriate wrap around frame even fulfil requirements for burglary resistance according to the tested class WK 2. Furthermore NovoSecur®-doors can be installed in combiantion with glazed and standard top panels at full room height without having to provide a separate drop from the ceiling or other reinforcements. Other applications, eg. for renovations are realized thanks to a retrofit frame, which allows the installation on top of an already existing frame without having to remove the old one.
Excellent optical characteristics, high noise protection
Next to its protections against brake-in, smoke and fire, the NovoSecur®-program, with its wide range of coloring options, high quality wood surface looks, and multiple glazing variantions, also offers a wide range of individual design, so that even in high end office buildings or a physicians practice the door integrates very harmonically into its surroundings. Its noise protections attains up to 42 dB with a door leaf thickness of only 40 mm. It guarantees excellent comfort, e.g. on office levels, where noisy IT areas interfere with the desired quiet work atmosphere or for conference rooms, that rather don not have any unwanted by-standing listeners. But even in hotels, clinics or schools NovoSecur®-doors offer depending on its configuration ideal noise protection.

The NovoSecur®-security doors are available as single leaf doors with co-ordinating sizes from min. 625 x 1750 mm up to max. 1.250 x 2.500 mm. And the double leaf models are available from min. 1.000 x 1.750 mm up to max. 2.500 x 2.500 mm.
