Frames can be back filled much more quickly and cleanly with the fire protection foam from Novoferm than with mortar. The usual prior knowledge for installing fire-resistant doors is completely adequate. The documentation of registration-compliant installation is unbelievably simple. Self-adhesive labels on the can of foam contain all the necessary information. They can be easily removed and are simply stuck onto the confirmation of conformity.
Application

Once the frame has been inserted, spray the area between the frame and the wall with water. This makes the foam expand even more effectively.

Then fill the cavity entirely with fire protection foam and leave to dry for at least 30 minutes.

Use a sharp knife or cutter to remove any protruding foam.

The transition from frame to wall (on the opposite side of the hinge) can be cleanly covered with a self-adhesive plastic profile with soft lip, which can then be painted over (available at additional cost).

That is all you need:
Novoferm fire protection foam, knife or cutter, spray can filled with clear water.
